Using TeamCal

Signing in

Your first sign-in

  1. When you are added to TeamCal, you receive an email with a link to choose your password.
  2. Open the link and choose a password of at least 8 characters.
  3. From then on, sign in with your work email and that password.

The welcome link can be used once and is valid for 7 days. The invitation email also has a short quick start checklist; the same steps are at the top of this guide's Welcome page.

Didn't receive the email? Check your junk or spam folder. If it isn't there, ask an Owner or Admin on your team to press Send password link next to your name. They can also copy the link and send it to you directly.
Checking what you typed: every password box has an eye button at its right edge. Press it to show the password and spot a typo; press it again to hide it.

If you forget your password

  1. On the sign-in page, choose Forgot your password?
  2. Enter the email address you sign in with and press Email me a link.
  3. Open the email and choose a new password. The link is valid for 2 hours.

For security, the page shows the same message whether or not the address has an account. If no email arrives, your account may use a different address; check with an Owner or Admin.

Changing your password

Open your menu, choose My account, then Change my password. Type your current password and the new one twice. Forgot the current one? Use the email link on the same page instead. Changing your password signs you out on all your other devices, which is useful if a phone is lost.

Staying signed in

Leave Keep me signed in ticked on your own computer or phone and you'll stay signed in while you keep using it; a device left unused for a long period signs itself out. Untick it on a shared or public computer, and you'll be signed out when the browser closes or after a few hours.

Switching accounts

Open your menu and choose Sign out, then sign in with the other account. If you reach a page that says Owners and admins only (or similar), the Switch account button on that page does both steps and returns you to the page.

Shared sign-ins

Two sign-ins are not tied to a person: the wall display (team) sign-in used on the dashboard screen, and the built-in admin sign-in. Please use your own email sign-in for day-to-day work, so your name is recorded on the events you add and change.
