Using TeamCal
Outlook, Google and phones
Everyone with a personal sign-in has a private calendar feed: a web address you add to Outlook, Google Calendar or your phone, so the team calendar appears next to your own appointments.
Step 1: Copy your address
- Sign in, open your menu and choose My account.
- Under My calendar feed, press Copy.
Step 2: Add it to your calendar app
- New Outlook or Outlook on the web
- Open Calendar, choose Add calendar → Subscribe from web, paste the address, give it a name and press Import.
- Classic Outlook for Windows
- In Calendar, choose Add Calendar → From Internet, paste the address, press OK, then Yes.
- Outlook for Mac or Outlook on a phone
- Add it once in Outlook on the web; it then appears on your other devices automatically.
- Google Calendar
- On a computer, press the + next to Other calendars, choose From URL, paste the address and press Add calendar.
- iPhone and iPad
- Open Settings → Calendar → Accounts → Add Account → Other → Add Subscribed Calendar, paste the address, tap Next, then Save. Or tap Open in my calendar app on your account page.
How often it updates
Your calendar app decides how often it checks for changes. Outlook and Google typically check every few hours, and sometimes less often, so a new event can take a while to appear there. TeamCal itself is always current. The feed includes the past two months and roughly the next year.
Keeping your address private
The address works without a password, so treat it like one. Anyone with it can view the calendar, though not change it. If you think it has been shared, press Make a new address on your account page. The old address stops working immediately; remove the old calendar from your app and subscribe again with the new one. If your sign-in is switched off, your feed stops as well.
One-time download
Download a one-time .ics file gives you a snapshot to open or import. Those events don't update afterwards, so the subscription is usually the better choice.
