Backups and recovery

TeamCal protects your events in several ways. All of them are under Settings → Backup.
Bringing back a deleted event
- Open Recently deleted.
- Find the event (deleted events are kept for 30 days).
- Press Restore. It returns to the calendar exactly as it was.
Downloading a backup
Download backup saves a file containing every event and event type to your computer. Doing this once a month, and before any large change, is good practice.
Automatic daily copies
A copy is made automatically each day and the last 7 days are kept on the server.
Restoring from a backup
- Choose a daily copy, or press Restore from a backup file and select a file you downloaded.
- Confirm. Your current events and event types are replaced with those in the backup.
Restores can be undone. A safety copy is made just before every restore, so if you restore the wrong copy, restore the safety copy to go back.
Admins have additional options: including sign-ins and settings in a backup, and emailing a copy every day.
